Here at Marston Green Model Flying club we have some fantastic fun converting a supermarket chuck glider to radio control.
The Lidl glider is available around May / June time in the UK and sell out fast !! – its a great moulded foam chuck glider to convert to R/C and provides hours of fun at the flying site in varying weather conditions, and is the perfect introduction aileron trainer for novices to learn to fly on.
The club has flown these for years and we would like to think we have gained a lot of experience that we would like to share about building them, and the different power setups and servo locations to use.
Link here to the basic shopping list of parts and as of 2024 you could get all this for sub £100 when shopping around.
There is no wrong way to build a conversion
